In the segment of charter flights 147 395 travelers were serviced – 100 669 more (+215,5 %).) than last year. Passengers were most likely to travel on the following holiday routes: Hurghada (30,391 people), Marsa Alam (28,662), Antalya (11,726), Punta Cana (8,302) and Puerto Plata (6,173).

From January to the end of March 2022, there were 6,610 aircraft takeoffs and landings, 3,917 more (+145.5%) than during the first three months of 2021.) than in 2021.

Firstly, the construction of a new part of the road system at Katowice Airport, a project closely linked to the construction of a viaduct on the railroad line no 182 Tarnowskie Góry – Zawiercie over voivodship road no 913.
