Lower Silesia opens the season
The Old Mine in Wałbrzych will host the Opening of the Tourist Season in Lower Silesia on 22-23 April.
Several dozen institutions and tourist attractions have already announced their participation in the two-day event held in the open-air space of the Old Mine. Among the dozens of stands located in the outdoor area of the mine you will find castles, undergrounds, museums, trails and even regional products. There will be animation zones for children and events on stage.
An interesting proposal for the people from outside of Walbrzych is to plan a trip to the Old Mine with the Lower Silesian Railways. Thanks to the cooperation of these two institutions with a ticket to visit the Wałbrzych facility the return by rail is free of charge.
Hydropolis will appear with a workshop zone, and trips around the region can be planned with, among others, the Mine in Złoty Stok, the Fortress in Srebrna Góra, Szklarska Poręba or the Milice Ponds. For those looking for inspiration in the Walbrzych area, there will be plenty of places from the area.
Exhibitors are waiting for you on Friday, 22nd April from. 12.00 to 18.00 and on Saturday, the 23rd from hrs. 10.00 to 17.00.

The event in Wałbrzych is held thanks to the cooperation of the Lower Silesian Tourist Organisation with the Old Mine and the partnership with the Local Tourist Organisation of the Wałbrzych Agglomeration, the City of Wałbrzych and the Marshal’s Office of Lower Silesia. The event is held under the patronage of the Marshal of Lower Silesia – Cezary Przybylski
The event is organised by the Lower Silesian Tourist Organisation and the Old Mine Science and Art Centre in Walbrzych.
